Terms & Conditions of Booking

By booking and staying with us, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions, and that the terms and conditions form a contract between us.

Reservations and Deposits

Credit/debit card details are required to secure a reservation. Should you fail to arrive and take up your reservation without letting us know, a charge will be made against your card for the full amount of your booking. If you do not supply card details, full payment is required by way of a cheque which must be cleared before taking up your reservation. If the person making the reservation is different to the person taking up the occupation the person who makes the reservation may be held responsible for non-arrival / damage or loss and monies may be taken from their credit / debit card. We are happy to accept Debit Card, Visa, Mastercard or electronic transfer of funds for payment of the deposit and the balance. Where possible we prefer payment by debit card. Any charges raised against the owners by its bank for handling dishonoured cheque's, bank transfers or any other payments must be reimbursed to the owners within seven (7) days of the owners request to do so. If you or any member of your party has any special access requirements or dietary needs, please let us know. Children and Animals

We accept Well-behaved Children in the cottages only. Maximum occupancy per room – 2 people. We accept well behaved Dogs/pets depending on type/species availability and subject to consultation with the letting owners prior to booking (cottages only).

All dogs

Your dog must be kept on a lead except when it is under your care in your cottage garden, we have mixed livestock here to include sheep, Reindeer, cats, chicken and other dogs.

Horses

We can accommodate horses here if you would like to bring your horse for a holiday the riding at Pembrey Beach is stunning. We can offer Grass or stable accommodation. Please call to discuss the options.

Cancellations and curtailment

Please let us know as soon as possible, should it become necessary for you to cancel or curtail your reservation. Fourteen days’ notice of cancellation is required. If cancellation occurs within fourteen days of arrival a deposit equal to one night’s stay per room booked will be charged. Cancellation within 48 hours or curtailment of your booking will be charged for the full amount of the booking. We recommend taking out an appropriate cancellation insurance scheme to cover you in such circumstances. We cannot be held liable for circumstances that are beyond our control. Our liability to you in the event of us having to cancel a booking is limited to the refund of any payment already made.

During your stay

Guests are not permitted to have visitors to their rooms or the cottages... Cars are parked entirely at the owners’ risk. Any contents left in your car are also entirely at your own risk. Accidents happen - please let us know immediately of any damage or spillage so that we can clean or repair. Damage to furniture, beds, bedding or towels will be charged at current replacement costs. Please note damage caused by fake tan that cannot be removed by cleaning will also be charged. We reserve the right to recharge your credit/debit card for damage caused. If the room needs to be closed for repair we will seek payment for any future bookings lost during the repair. Any item taken from the rooms without our consent will be charged for. Lost keys will incur a £25 charge.

Lost property

Lost property will be held for 1 month from the date of departure after that time it will be disposed of. We do not mail items it is your responsibility to arrange collection.

Smoking & behaviour

The Old Dairy is non-smoking in all guest areas including the outside terrace. If a guest is found smoking, or is asked to leave for whatever reason, full payment for the booking will be taken. If it is subsequently found that a guest has smoked in a room, after the guest has vacated, a charge for extra cleaning, deodorising and any loss of bookings will be made against the credit/debit card. We have a designated smoking area please ask Reception.

Arrival

Check-in time is between 4pm and 7pm. If you are delayed in arriving or expect to arrive after 7pm, please let us know so that we can arrange our evening accordingly. We welcome our guests and will make all reasonable efforts to make sure your stay is relaxing and enjoyable. Please remember that The Old Dairy is our home and we expect guests to respect this and other guests’ quiet enjoyment and relaxation. Please do not stray into the STAFF only areas or other peoples gardens. Please close any gate you enter and exit, remember we are a working Animal Farm and we have livestock!

Departure

On the day of departure, please vacate your room by 10.30am. Please ensure that you leave the room in a respectable state. Any outstanding payment due will be taken from your credit/debit card, unless paying with cash. Thank you for your co-operation.
