Who We Are

Jackie, Charlie and Josh welcome both old and new customers to the Old Dairy, (Welsh Reindeer Retreat) we look forward to meeting you and we hope you enjoy your stay with us.

We took over this amazing place in February 2020. When we first saw it in the summer of 2019, we fell in love with it and we very soon realised that it was the perfect place for us and our large menagerie. We then set about moving all of us from our farm in Newbury Berkshire to create perfect holidays.

Jackie is an animal trainer and supplier to the Film and TV industry and has spent the last 45 years working in the Film TV and entertainment industry, supplying a large amount of animals for TV, feature films commercials and celebrity parties. Jackie has a life time of credits under her belt a couple of Disney Movies and has met a lot of talented and comical people along the way and she always has a story to tell. Find out more from her website, www.animaldramatics.co.uk . Charlie is an accountant from the south coast and is very much hands on around the farm. He is kept busy with all his daily chores, and very much enjoys seasonal fishing and training his cocker spaniel Peat.

Charlie and Jackie have a son called Josh, who you might see occasionally keeping them in line when he is home from university, he is currently undertaking his bachelors degree in Physics with Astrophysics at Bath University. Josh is very handy on the tractor and going about his duties on the quad. He loves country life and country living.

Here at the old dairy we are available for holidays all year round with B&B breaks either in one of our lovely farm cottages, (Barn Owl or Wren), weekends cozy B&B or longer in our Buttercup or Daisy suites, Alternatively you just might be passing through on business and require a comfy bed for the night. The summer months are lovely here with lots to do and explore locally. Choose one of our lovely apartments (Daisy or Buttercup) and a lovely cooked breakfast the following morning. What ever your requirement we hope we can accommodate you and we look forward to meeting you. We are also open for Christmas breaks.

We have 2 beautiful en-suites all former dairy conversions, a twin called Buttercup and a double called Daisy with a king-size bed, all of these holiday let’s are furnished and decorated to the highest standard and breakfast is supplied each morning in the main breakfast room which is a short stroll from the suites.

We have our Barn Owl Cottage a converted cart shed which sleeps up to 6 and has a lovely garden for your sole use.

Dogs and other animals are welcome, please call ahead to discuss and as we are so close to Pembrey beach it is the ideal place to bring your Horse too. We have lots of Animals here as the name suggests so we only accept one well behaved family dog who must be kept well under control.
